In The Hoop (ITH) Machine Embroidered Mug Mat

Perfect for holding your coffee or tea and a little snack (or a glass of wine with a piece of cheese?)  This is a great project for machine embroiderers who want to go beyond monograms and begin creating ITH (In The Hoop) projects.  ITH construction means that the project is completed in the hoop of the embroidery machine and you only have to turn it right side out and close the opening.  Students will be required to purchase and download a mug mat pattern from Embroidery by Edith Anne.  There are so many to choose from, have fun browsing!

Charming Quilt
Walking Foot Quilting Techniques

Teacher- Carol Smith / Sylvia Benvie

Wednesdays : 1-4
(2 classes) - May 16 & 23

You can do more than straight lines with your continuous feed (walking) foot! This project is designed to teach you some useful quilting techniques - how to do curved line edge to edge quilting with your walking foot.  The quilt itself is very easy; you can use charm squares or 5 inch strips of fabric cut into squares. Make it as big or as little as you would like. A charm pack of 42 squares will result in a quilt about 37” x 34” or a little less if you decide not to do the inner borders. In the sample quilt those inner borders were made from leftovers, if you use a charm pack there won’t be any leftovers!  Why not wait until the blocks are together and test different border fabrics. Just a suggestion….

Class $40. See supply list for extra requirements.

Self-binding Receiving Blanket

Have you wanted to make that slightly different gift for someone special? This self-binding project is just the trick. Using two contrasting fabrics, you can create this little gem of a blanket in an afternoon. So bring your creativity and see what you can make.
