Are you frustrated with blocks that don’t turn out to be the correct size and just don’t fit together well? Come and try (or re-try) this technique. You will build 4 identical blocks that come together to form a simple 4 pointed star. Whether you use it as a block in a sampler quilt or a pillow cover using leftover fabric from a finished quilt or as as the main quilt block, it will be a great addition to your block library. You can use up your stash and make it a scrappy star quilt or do a monochromatic piece with your favourite colour, the possibilities are up to you.

Instructor Bio: | I grew up watching my mother sew clothes for all of us seven kids. Once I was able to reach both the machine and foot pedal, I was off and sewing everything that challenged me. After my first quilting class with Monique Bloomfield, I was hooked. I retired to spend more time quilting and two years into retirement began working at Taylor Sewing. With encouragement from Donna Taylor I began to teach a few classes. There is nothing more rewarding than to see the enthusiasm of participants when they create something they thought was beyond them and then go on to use their newly found confidence and skills to create something wonderful. I love to share my knowledge and experience as well as leaning new techniques and helpful hints from other quilters. I have a lot of work ahead of me clearing up my STABLE Stash Totaling Above & Beyond Life Expectancy. |
