Lemoyne Star Runner - November 1st and 15th
If you have wanted to be able to make perfect 8 pointed stars without Y-seams, this ruler does the trick. Here is the tool and technique that will allow any quilter to quickly, easily and accurately piece traditional Lemoyne Star blocks in 10 different sizes! From 3” to 12”, the block units are strip pieced, assembled without using any “Y” seams. The stars are accurately pieced so that the blocks themselves are slightly over-sized and are trimmed to an exact final size, ready to build your final design.
The table runner is built on two different sizes of star, the larger star is 2X the size of the smaller and can be made in 3 different lengths.

| Instructor Bio: | I grew up watching my mother sew clothes for all of us seven kids. Once I was able to reach both the machine and foot pedal, I was off and sewing everything that challenged me. After my first quilting class with Monique Bloomfield, I was hooked. I retired to spend more time quilting and two years into retirement began working at Taylor Sewing. With encouragement from Donna Taylor I began to teach a few classes. There is nothing more rewarding than to see the enthusiasm of participants when they create something they thought was beyond them and then go on to use their newly found confidence and skills to create something wonderful. I love to share my knowledge and experience as well as leaning new techniques and helpful hints from other quilters. I have a lot of work ahead of me clearing up my STABLE Stash Totaling Above & Beyond Life Expectancy. |
