Using heat resistant fabric (included in the pattern) and your own fat quarter of quilting cotton, in this class you will create your own unique iron caddy to use on sew days, retreats and anywhere else you sew on the go. Kathy will lead you through each step from drawing out and stitching the lines that create the origami style caddy, to applying the binding on non-right angle corners. You can do more than “Stitch in the ditch” with your continuous feed (walking) foot! In this class, you will make a number of sample sandwiches to keep as reference for use on future quilts. The reference books suggested set out patterns step by step that are easily adapted to your quilting projects. You will be surprised by what you can do. Once you have got the concept, look into taking the Quilt As You Go workshop that will follow later on, walking foot quilting really makes it an easy job to finish putting quilted blocks together.
