Techniques: ripless paper piecing, gentle curves, trimming blocks. Pickles Pie is a variation of the pickle dish pattern and uses a variety of batiks, both scraps and fat quarters. It can be a daunting thought and for some an impossible task, but you can learn the basics in this introductory course. If you can write your name then you can do free motion. This is a beginner-friendly pattern and uses the half- rectangle triangle and the stitch and flip techniques. This quilt is made up of repeats of the same 12? by 12? finished block. First of all, your sewing machine needs to be in good working order and you will need to bring your sewing machine manual and accessories to the class. This class will provide a review of all the basic sewing machine features and components and include instruction to learn the following; straight stitching, zig-zag, button hole, zipper, decorative stitching, proper tension settings, needle usage based on material, and general cleaning and care of your machine.
